I've been away from my craft room for so long I've had a hard time getting any kind of mojo going. So this weekend I sat down and jumped from blog to blog to see what challenges were out there and landed on a blog called Freshly Made Sketches. The sketch was CAS and I knew right away what I wanted to make.
My 11 year old niece Alli came by today and we each made a card for this challenge. I have created a separate post for her submission so the links will take.
This is my submission ........
This didn't turn out exactly how I envisioned it, but I like it just the same. I went over the flowers and leaves with Wink of Stella to give it some sparkle. I think it needs pearls or sequins. I may play around with that later.
Thank you for stopping by and please take a look at Alli's wonderful creations. She is rockin' the CAS.

This is so lovely! The flowers with the vellum over the top is so clever! Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card!! Love the pretty flowers and the vellum ontop!! Awesome!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining us at FMS!!
Your band of flowers is lovely!
ReplyDeleteI think you found your mojo juice, Carole! This is so awesome! I love the white embossed and colored flowers against the kraft and the torn vellum on top takes this from pretty to gorgeous!! I think you're right about a little embellishment there in that clear space to the left of the sediment. Maybe just one medium pearl or three teeny pearls to draw the eye to the sediment?
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for following me! I am introducing you to my readers in my next post. I'd love to see you enter my NBUS Challenge, too! Hugs, Darnell
Sorry, I see that I already thanked you for following me! You see how happy that makes me, lol!! (And how absent-minded I'm getting!) Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteLove the kraft and velum combo...such a lovely band. I'm a new follower and look forward to your finding time to create and post. Be well Carole

This looks gorgeous Carole, love the pretty flowers and the touch of vellum :) Viv xx
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are so pretty - they look great on kraft. The vellum is a nice touch to soften everything.
