This card was for my beautiful daughter-in-law's birthday. It was inspired by a blog challenge, however I don't remember which one.
I didn't emboss the sentiment which I think would have been more attractive.
My son took the picture for me with his cellphone; I think it's sad that he just snaps a shot that is fine for upload and I spend a good hour trying with my digital camera to get a picture that is only half as good. I think it's time for me to take a photography class. :)
Though I have not been posting in almost a year, I have been making cards off and on. It's been a busy year. My son move back to Texas bringing my two gorgeous grandsons and wife with him, of course. I can't tell you how wonderful it is to have them home. I bought a new car just before they arrived, my first SUV. Or actually it's considered a crossover. I love it, absolutely love it. It has black leather interior with purple stitching. Purple is not my favorite color, but I do love how it looks.
Sadly the new job I took back in 2013 that was supposed to give me a better work-life balance has turned out to be just as demanding as my corporate position which is why my crafting has gone by the whey side. That and its hard to be inspired when you are exhausted all the time. :(
I'll be out on medical leave soon but not for long. I suffer from severe acid reflux which can no longer be controlled with medications so I have to have surgery. The biggest challenge will be no caffeine for six weeks!!! So everyone.......beware!!! :)
Thank you for stopping by,
Carole
Beautiful card Carole, how lovely to see you crafting and posting again! So pleased your son and family have moved closer to you, we are lucky ours are all close by too. So sorry about the acid reflux and surgery, hope all goes well. How sad that your new job has turned out to be just as demanding as the last one.........hope you try for another which is less stressful! I hope this latest storm has not caused you too much damage also, just seen the weather reports ;( hugs Viv xx
